Examples of kitting we undertake

We have a 63,000 sq ft fulfilment centre so we can take in everything from containers to pallets and boxes. We can break it down for long term storage or get it straight onto the production line for use immediately (cross-docking). Our team are skilled at kitting and are able to undertake work quickly and accurately whether it’s producing one pallet of material for a single delivery, or thousands of kits for inclusion in a mailing.

We have handled some huge ad hoc projects for famous brands as well as ongoing kitting work for cross-docking and daily fulfilment customers. We provide kitting and collation services to retailers, charities, manufacturers, leisure companies, publishers, etc. Examples of this include:

  • Preparing clothing and apparel to be sent to retailers
  • Collating millions of pieces of literature on pallets to be sent to fundraising teams
  • Kitting of products and accessories
  • Collating welcome packs
  • Kitting and collating DVDs and merchandise
  • Producing POS and exhibition material
  • Kitting and collating sample packs for FMCG brands
  • Producing direct mail packs that can not be produced by machine

Subscription box fulfilment and delivery

The subscription box business model has seen incredible growth in recent years, and Asendia has been involved in some great success stories.

This is a really good example of kitting work that we undertake; including subscription boxes for pets and subscription boxes for children.

Our Tracked Goods: Mailbox Delivery postal service is ideal for subscription box fulfilment customers. This service offers a postage discount as it is for parcels under 30mm thick, so they fit through most letterboxes, therefore we know that deliveries can typically be made first time, keeping our costs down.
