Infrastructure & Logistics

The United Kingdom ranks highly in all of the main e-commerce indices, including the Logistical Performance Index, the Ease of Doing Business Index and the E-Government Development Index. Internet inclusivity is also a very strong point for the UK.

The UK is doing exceptionally well with internet penetration of the general population. Furthermore, the GDP continues to increase with a steady growth rate; the economy is boosting the e-commerce sector, both domestically as well as cross-border.

E-commerce Landscape

As usual for most developed e-commerce markets, the main advantage of shopping online for consumers in the UK is the ‘ease to compare prices’ and ‘more choice’. With regards to payment methods, most British e-shoppers use PayPal to purchase online.
