B2C e-commerce turnover is expected to reach more than €1 billion this year.

The Poland e-commerce report explores the details of the B2C market in Poland, including its consumer behaviours and trends. The report also includes an interview with experts from SAP and the Chamber of Digital Economy.

 

Infrastructure & Logistics

Poland is doing well in all the main e-commerce indices, including the Logistical Performance Index, the Ease of Doing Business Index, and the E-Government Development Index.

Additionally, it appears internet inclusivity is a strong point for Poland and its internet penetration is improving. The GDP also continues to increase with a steady growth rate – the economy is boosting the e-commerce sector, both domestically as well as cross-border.

 

E-commerce Landscape

As usual for developed e-commerce markets, most Polish consumers prefer to receive their purchases at home during the daytime. They also like collecting their packages from service points.

With regards to payment methods, most Polish customers used online payment last year. When it comes to cross-border shopping, the most purchased category is clothing and accessories, while the most returned category is clothing and footwear.
