E-Commerce Sustainability

We are very proud to have achieved numerous award nominations in 2022.

The Environmental Achievement of the Year
Asendia proudly achieved 100% carbon neutrality in January 2022, and this is the reason we were entered into the award at Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards.

We now offset 100% of carbon emissions related to transportation of parcels, including first mile (pick-up) in the country of origin, and last-mile delivery in the destination country by our delivery partners. This covers all the scope 3 emissions, and Asendia also offsets 100% of carbon emissions from our buildings, machinery, employee business travel and returns.

Sorting and Fulfilment Technology Award
This category at the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards looks at how the industry is improving the efficiency and quality of mail and parcel handling through new solutions, such as automation, bulk handling, OCR, and sorting centre management as well as robotics and AMRs

In an industry first, Asendia UK has successfully installed automated sorting and six new robots for over-labelling at its parcel processing centre at Heathrow, fully operational from the end of May 2022.

The system has boosted parcel throughput for our clients – e-commerce retailers. Asendia UK has invested significant budget in these improvements, and is already seeing a host of benefits to the business and our retailer partners.

Global Content Award
Along with our agency The Think Tank, we scooped the Global ROI content campaign of the year at Global Content Awards. It was one of three categories our Industries Campaign had been nominated for, and we were very pleased to beat off some fierce competition.

For the victorious lead-gen campaign we created a host of content including e-books, blogs and infographics, targeted at two core verticals (e-commerce retailers in the Fashion & Apparel and Health & Beauty sectors). By drawing on our in-depth knowledge of their customer base, and providing fresh and practical insights, we positioned Asendia as an industry leader across 8 countries. The judges praised our custom-tailored approach and described our campaign as “very impressive”.

Cross-border Growth Award
Held during the World Mail & Express EMEA Conference, the World Post & Parcel Awards are not only at the heart of mail and express excellence, but they also provide an exciting opportunity for the industry to network and have a fantastic night of celebration.

Asendia was nominated for the Cross-border Growth award for our "Customer-Centric e-PAQ Delivery Range". The launch of e-PAQ in 2021 saw us package our solutions into four easy to understand products, plugging in final-mile delivery partners that meet the expectations of each service.

Commenting on the shortlist, Tom Ross-Joannou, Managing Director of Triangle said: “We are delighted to welcome the Awards back after two years online – congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted and we are excited to celebrate your achievements with you all in Dubai.”
