Service Update Bulletin 5th October 2015

International Services

Brazil: Update 1st October

The strike announcement in mid-September came to an end on Tuesday 29th September. The strike only affected certain regions of Brazil and for this reason the Brazilian post was already able to mitigate the impact on international postal services. All services are now provided as normal.

Ireland: Update 2nd October

An Post in Ireland regret to inform that they are not in a position to process any mail until further notice. This is due to a strike action taking place in mail processing centres. We are still continuing to accept mail for delivery in Ireland but please note that there may be a delay in processing. Mail services in Northern Ireland are operating as normal.

Norway: Update 5th October

Norway Post sends their apologies as they are unable to send EDI messages. They will update us when the situation comes back to normal.

UK Services

Air, Road and Rail

London: Update 5th October

A small amount of mail posted in the E, IG and RM postcode areas for delivery to other parts of the UK on Saturday arrived later than planned. This is due to an issue at the Romford Mail centre on Friday. In addition, the late departure of a vehicle from the National Distribution Centre in the early hours of Saturday morning may mean a small amount of mail posted across the UK on Friday for delivery in the PL, EX and SA postcodes may have arrived later than planned. On Saturday all mail centres generally operated to schedule and normal deliveries and collections takes place from today.

Scotland: Update 5th October

There will be no collections or deliveries in the following postcode areas KY11, KY12, KY99, PH1, PH2 and PH14. This is due to a local holiday today, Monday 5th October, in Scotland. Normal services will resume on Tuesday 6th October.

The rest of the UK network operated well over the weekend.
