International Services

Australia: Update 30th November

Due to bushfires in South Australia, there may be a delay in the delivery of mail in South Australia, as well as the transport of inbound mail between the East Coast (Sydney, Melbourne) and Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Belgium: Update 25th November

Increased security measures by Belgian authorities have no effect on the delivery service from bpost.

Finland: Update 25th November

The postal strike in Finland has now ended. There may be local industrial actions but no major actions impacting inbound and outbound mail. The Office of Exchange is now open and mail in all categories can be sent and received.

Sierra Leone: Update 24th November

The World Health Organisation declared Sierra Leone free from Ebola on 7th November. Air France, Kenya Airways, Brussels Airlines and Royal Air Maroc have resumed their flights to Sierra Leone. All normal mail exchange will be resumed.

Services to France

Update 30th November: Due to the arrival of Prime ministers, President and their staff to participate in COP 21, an international meeting about climate, the A1 highway around Roissy airport will be closed. This will affect the circulation of mail in various areas of Ile de France, Paris.

Update 24th November: Air France has now come back to a normal security regulation. The delays expected concern only consignments from 21st to 23rd November 2015.

Expect a day’s delay for some letters from Department 60 to the entire territory. This is due to a technical problem in the Creil PIC sorting centre.

Expect a delay for a portion of mail at the Neuilly sur Seine PDC1 (92200), Saint Maximin (60740), Reze(44400) and Rivesaltes (66600) distribution centres. This is due to an industrial action.

UK Services 

Air, Road and Rail

A small amount of mail posted in parts of Wales, the Midlands, South West and North of England for delivery in the PL and TR postcode areas on Saturday may arrive later than scheduled. This is due to a technical issue which delayed a flight on Friday from East Midland’s airport to Exeter.

There may be a delay to a small amount of mail posted in the CB, EC, N, PE, W1 and WC postcode areas for delivery in Central and Southern Scotland on Saturday. This is due to two vehicles failing to connect with a flight between Stansted and Edinburgh airports on Friday.

There may be a delay to some mail posted in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas for delivery in the OX, PO, RG and SN postcode areas on Saturday. This is due to the late arrival of a vehicle at our National Distribution Centre at Daventry on Friday.

A small amount of mail posted across the UK for delivery in the B, HR and WR postcode areas on Saturday may be delayed. This is due to issues at the Birmingham Mail Centre on Friday evening.

Due to technical issues at Sheffield Mail Centre on Friday, there may be a delay to some mail posted in the DN, HU, LN and S postcode areas for delivery to other parts of the UK on Saturday.

Expect a delay for a small amount of mail posted across the UK for delivery in the B, EC, HR, N, NR, W1, WC and WR postcode areas on Saturday. This is due to issues at three mail centres on Friday evening.

Technical issues at Sheffield Mail Centre on Friday may mean a delay to some mail posted in the DN, HU, LN and S postcode areas for delivery to other parts of the UK on Saturday.

In addition, high volumes of mail at Belfast Mail Centre on Saturday may mean a delay to a small amount of mail posted in parts of the UK for delivery in the BT postcode area today.

The rest of the UK network operated well over the weekend.
