Lufthansa: Update 28th November
There may be a minor delay in mail transiting in Germany due to backlogs from the Lufthansa Airline strike last week Friday 25th – Saturday 26th November. A further strike is scheduled on Tuesday 29th November for Lufthansa flights from Germany (continental flights) and on Wednesday 30th November flights from Germany (continental and intercontinental routes).
Barbados: Update 25th November
The Grantley Adams International Airport has been experiencing an industrial action since Thursday 24th November. This is affecting mail operations and the delivery of incoming and outgoing letters, parcels and EMS items.
Guatemala: Update 25th November
There is a temporary suspension of international mail services from 21st November 2016 to 15th January 2017. This is due to staffing and logistical difficulties. No mail will be dispatched to Guatemala between these dates.
Costa Rica: Update 24th November
From Wednesday 23rd November Costa Rica will be experiencing severe weather conditions in the northern and Caribbean regions of the country. This has affected transportation and telecommunications, impacting the national postal network and causing delays in the processing and delivery of mail (letters, parcels and EMS).
Chile: Update 22nd November
The strike by Chilean customs staff is officially over, however there may be delays in the customs process for incoming postal items (letters, small packets, parcels and EMS).
