UK Services

On Friday night the vehicle carrying mail from Truro Mail Centre due to travel on the flight from Exeter-East Midlands arrived too late to connect with the flight due to an accident on the A30. Mail was re-routed via the road network, however as a result of this a small amount of mail posted in the TR postcode area on Friday for delivery on Saturday in other parts of the UK has been delayed.
Due to technical issues, mail due to travel on the flight from Edinburgh-East Midlands had to be re-routed to the road network. As a result of this mail posted in South and Central Scotland on Friday for delivery on Saturday in parts of England & Wales will arrive later than planned.
On Saturday morning the flight from Inverness-Kirkwall (Orkney Islands) was delayed due to technical difficulties with the aircraft. All Special Delivery and Royal Mail Tracked items were delivered on time, a small amount of regular mail items was delayed due to the technical difficulties.
