On Friday morning capacity issues meant that not all mail could travel on the Royal Mail flight from Bournemouth-Guernsey, and was instead forwarded via the road/ferry network. As a result a small amount of mail has arrived in Guernsey later than expected.
The aircraft due to fly from East Midlands-Belfast developed technical difficulties on Friday night and mail had to be transferred to a different aircraft. As a result of this a small amount of mail posted in various parts of the UK on Friday for delivery in Northern Ireland has arrived later than planned.
On Saturday morning the flight from Aberdeen-Sumburgh (Shetland Isles) was diverted back to Aberdeen due to high-winds at Sumburgh. Mail was sent on via the road/ferry service. As a result a small amount of mail due for delivery on Saturday in the Shetland Isles has arrived later than planned.
Although the situation at the Royal Mail’s National Distribution Centre is much improved, on Friday night capacity issues meant that some mail was unable to travel on a small number of scheduled outbound services. As a result some mail posted in other parts of the UK on Friday for delivery on Saturday in parts of the Midlands and in the CA & DG postcode areas will arrive later than expected.

Capacity issues at the Princess Royal Distribution Centre on Saturday night meant that not all mail could travel on some scheduled outbound services. As a result of this some mail posted on Saturday in other parts of the UK for delivery today in parts of the South East and South West of England may arrive later than planned.
