On Friday night the flight from East Midlands-Exeter was diverted back to East Midlands due to fog at Exeter airport. As a result of this some mail posted on Friday from the Midlands and the North of England for delivery in the far South West of England on Saturday was delayed.
A vehicle travelling from Ipswich Mail Centre to the Princess Royal Distribution Centre on Friday night arrived late due to a vehicle breakdown. As a result a small amount of mail posted on Friday in the IP postcode area for delivery on Saturday in the South East and South West of England is likely to have been delayed.
On Saturday some mail from Northern Ireland Mail Centre arrived later than planned at the North West Distribution Centre, as a result a small amount of mail posted in Northern Ireland on Saturday for delivery today in parts of the North West of England may arrive later than planned.
Deliveries and collections
Royal Mail deliveries and collections were performed in almost all parts of the UK on Saturday and expected to operate a full range of services today.
Local Holiday - Scotland - Monday 22 September (AB, KA1-5, KA16-18 only)
Due to a local holiday there will be no deliveries or collections taking place today in the following postcode areas: AB, KA1-5 and KA16-18. Normal service will resume tomorrow, Tuesday 23 September.
Hornsey Delivery Office (N8) is moving.
Royal Mail transferred their mail delivery operations for the N8 postcode area from the existing Hornsey Delivery Office, located at 44 Tottenham Lane, to our North London Delivery Centre at Unit 11-13, Bush Industrial Estate, Station Road, N19 5UW. However, they don’t expect this relocation to have any effect on mail deliveries.
