Ebola virus: Flights into Sierra Leone and Liberia have been suspended in order to contain the Ebola Virus outbreak. No mail will be shipped to these destinations until further notice.
Italy: Poste Italiane has reported that from October 17th to October 24th, due to the closure of Cagliari airport during the nights and the subsequent re-scheduling of the domestic flights, the delivery times for inbound priority lettermail to the Sardinia region will be dilated in such a way that they cannot comply with the standards.
India 13th September: Postal services in Jammu and Kashmir have been fully restored at all but twelve Post Offices. Flooding in September in Srinagar and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir seriously affected a number of Post Offices in the area. Mail service in these areas has now been restored through special efforts and special arrangements. The remaining 12 Post Offices will also start functioning normally within next 10 days. The following Public Holidays will see mail centres closed; with some disruption to mail collections and deliveries:

Air, rail and road
Technical issues delayed a flight from Belfast to Stansted on Friday, causing delays to a small amount of mail posted in the BT postcode area for delivery in parts of London and the South East. The return flight, Stansted to Belfast, was also delayed causing delays to mail posted in parts of London and the South of England for delivery in Northern Ireland.
On Saturday a vehicle from the Royal Mail Edinburgh Mail Centre was delayed due to the closure of the M6. This has caused a delay to a small amount of mail posted in the DD, EH, FK, KY, PH and TD postcode areas for delivery in the BA, BS, GL and TA postcode areas today.
