Update: 15th May 2015
On 13th May the workers union ver.di went on strike at the OE IPZ Frankfurt (Priority Mail & Parcels) and al all 82 Domestic Mail sorting centres.
The OE Frankfurt put in place an emergency plan and re-routed all inbound transports from neighbouring countries to domestic sorting centres by road. Inbound and outbound mail and airmail parcels departing and arriving from Frankfurt Airport were affected by the strike.

A general strike took place on the 15th May which affected all mail services throughout Spain. As a result all inbound and outbound mail services will be delayed up to 48 hours.

PostNord Denmark experienced an IT-service fall out on 12th May, between 23:00 and 05:00 local time. This affected the data transfer to/from the IT systems, among them the IPS-system.
Parcels and letters have been processed inbound and outbound as much as possible, but the EDI-transactions were severely affected. It is currently not known if the EDI data can be restored at a later stage.

Severe weather conditions in Queensland have subsided and normal mail operations have resumed in most of Queensland. However, there is a 2-3 day delay on deliveries.

Due to the earthquake that hit Nepal over the weekend mail services in and out of the country will face delays.

Indian postal works unions have called for an indefinite national strike starting May 6th. The participating unions include the National Federation of Postal Employees (NFPE), the Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO), the All India Postal Employees’ Union and the National Union of Gramin Dak Sewaks (rural postal workers). Union members and supporters have been organizing mass rallies leading up to the planned strike.

Industrial action: Delays are expected in Paris 17 (75017)
La Poste (FR) have informed IPC members that as of 1st June 2015, submail class UC and UH (Direct Entry) dispatches to France will have to be dedicated to IMPC code FRROIC. This IMPC code replaces FRONEF and FRONEG, there's no impact on routing.

Air, rail, road
On Friday, a vehicle transporting mail from the Royal Mail's Cardiff Mail Centre to their National Distribution Centre in Daventry broke down en route. This has caused a delay to a small amount of mail posted in the CF, LD and NP postcode areas on Friday for delivery across parts of England and Wales.
