Service Update Bulletin 18th January

International Services

Indonesia: Update 15th January

All postal service and operations (collection, processing, transport, and delivery) continued as usual, with no interruptions after the explosions that occurred in Jakarta on Thursday 14th January.

Paraguay: Update 14th January

There may be some disruptions for mail transport and deliveries due to severe floods currently affecting certain regions of the country. The worst affected departments are:

  • Ñeembucu
  • Presidente Hayes
  • Central (cities of Villeta, Nueva Italia, Ypané, San Antonio, Mariano Roque Alonso, Zeballos Cue)

Services to France

There may be a delay expected for a portion of mail due to an industrial action at the Neuilly sur Seine distribution centre PDC1 (92200).

Expect a day’s delay for some letters from Department 60 to the entire territory. This is due to a technical problem in the Creil PIC sorting centre.

UK Services

Air, Road and Rail

Due to the Lumiere London Event which took place from 14th to 17th January there were road closures in the W1, WC1, WC2, SW1 and N1C postcode areas. This resulted in deliveries and collections only taking place where access was possible.

Deliveries in postcodes KY14-15 may be affected due to an industrial action at the Cupar Delivery office. Contingency plans are taking place and the enquiry office will remain open for collections.

There may be a delay in a small amount of mail posted to parts of the UK for delivery in the Orkneys due to the late arrival of a flight between Inverness and Kirkwall.

The rest of the UK network operated well over the weekend.
