Emirates Post Group, the postal operator for the United Arab Emirates, has informed that due to the unavailability of flights to Asmara Airport the transit mail service to Eritrea is suspended until further notice.

Workers in Chile's national customs service have called off their strike and service has resumed to normal.

Spanish traffic controllers have called for a partial strike over four days in June, they are June 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th. The strike action, called for by the USCA controllers labours union, is to protest fines and suspensions against 61 members for their part in the 2010 strike that caused major problems for travelers across Europe.

On Friday, the late departure of a vehicle from the Royal Mail’s National Distribution Centre has caused a delay to a small amount of mail posted across the UK for delivery in parts of the Midlands and South of England.

Similarly, on Saturday the late departure of a vehicle from the same Royal Mail centre may mean a small amount of mail posted across the UK for delivery in the HA, NW, SL UB and W2-W14 postcode areas arriving later than planned.
