International Services

Belgium: Update 10th June

There is a 24 hour strike from today, Monday 13th June, which will affect the receiving and delivery of EMS items, parcels and LC/AO items.

Poland: Update 10th June

Some incoming postal items are being held back at the Warsaw office of exchange, due to an industrial action since Monday 6th June. This will result in delays to both delivery of items sent to Poland and the dispatch of items from Poland.

Australia: Update 9th June

Severe floods in Tasmania (postcodes 7000-7999) impacted the collection and delivery of all mail since Monday 6th June to Thursday 9th June 2016. This has now been cleared and all services are back to normal.

Papua New Guinea: Update 8th June

Port Moresby (the capital city of Papua New Guinea) and other major cities around the country are currently experiencing civil unrest. This has resulted in post offices being closed since Wednesday 8th June for all of last week, causing delay in the processing of incoming international mail and affecting the delivery of EMS items, parcels and LC/AO items.

Finland: Update 7th June

Rovaniemi Airport will be closed for maintenance work from 28th June to 31st July 2016. This will result in a one day delay for international mail items sent to and from post code areas starting in 97, 98 and 99. Parcels will not be affected.

Services to France

The disruption following the serious floods is over and the situation is now back to normal.

Flight schedules operated by Air France have been disrupted since Saturday 11th June because of an industrial action. This is due to end on Tuesday 14th June.

La Poste unions will be taking an industrial action on Tuesday 14th June for 24 hours. From Monday 13th June (00:00) until Friday 17th June (07:00) there will be a strike concerning the night shift agents.

Expect a day’s delay for some mail from the entire territory to departments 02 and 80. This is due to a technical problem in the Amiens Pic sorting centre.

Expect a delay for some mail at the Bayonne distribution centre (64100) due to an industrial action.

Expect a delay for some mail due to an industrial action at the Fontenay Aux Roses (92260) distribution centre.


UK Services 

Air, Road and Rail

A small amount of mail posted in the OX, RG and SN postcode areas for delivery in parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, North Wales and North of England today will arrive later than expected. This is due to a vehicle from the Swindon Mail Centre arriving late at the National Distribution Centre on Saturday.

The rest of the UK network operated well over the weekend.
