UK Services

Air, Road and Rail

A small amount of mail posted in the South West of England on Friday for delivery on Saturday in parts of Northern Scotland may have been delayed. This is due to a vehicle travelling from the South Western Distribution Centre to the Scottish Distribution Centre arriving late because of an accident on the M6.

Due to heavy traffic, three vehicles arrived late in to the National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Daventry on Friday night. Please see details below:

1.       Edinburgh to NDC: A small amount of mail posted in parts of Central and Southern Scotland on Friday for delivery on Saturday in parts of the South West of England may have been delayed.

2.       Bournemouth to NDC: Some mail posted in the Channel Island for delivery in other parts of the UK may arrive later than expected.

3.       Manchester to NDC: Some mail posted in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas for delivery to parts of the South West, South East and London may arrive later than expected.

There could be a delay to mail posted in other parts of the UK for delivery in parts of Scotland. This is due to capacity issues at the North West Distribution Centre on Saturday night, not all mail could travel on the scheduled service to the Scottish Distribution Centre.

The rest of the UK network operated well over the weekend.
