Workers in Chile's national customs service have called for an indefinite strike, which began last week. The postal operator for the country, Correos Chile, have advised that mail and parcels are no longer being accepted at the destination until the strike is over and all backlogs are clear.

Spanish air traffic controllers have called for a partial strike over four days in June, they are June 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th. The strike action, called for by the USCA controllers labours union, is to protest fines and suspensions against 61 members for their part in the 2010 strike that caused major problems for travelers across Europe.

The workers union "ver.di" announced a warning strike in the national letter and parcel delivery network, mostly in the northern parts of Germany (zip-code region 2-3) and the region Koblenz/Trier (zip code area 54 and 56). Today there are also union meetings in North Rhine-Westphalia (zip-code region 4-5).
In addition to this, a warning strike at the OE IPZ Frankfurt (Priority Mail & Parcels) is expected today, Wednesday, 27th May, 08:00-19:00h for the inbound shift. So please expect delays in the sorting and delivery for letters and international airmail parcels.

There were delays to international mail EDI scans from Thursday 21st May to Saturday 23rd May due to power outages for annual maintenance.

Technical issues affected the Royal Mail outbound and return flights between Newcastle and East Midlands airports. This has caused delays to the following:
- Mail posted in the far North East of England for delivery in parts of Wales, the Midlands and the South West of England
- Mail posted in parts of Wales, the Midlands and the South West of England for delivery in the far North East of England
On Friday, the late departure of a Royal Mail vehicle from their National Distribution Centre (NDC) will mean a small amount of mail posted across the UK for delivery in the PL postcode area will arrive later than planned.
Similarly, on Friday a Royal Mail vehicle from their Edinburgh Mail Centre arrived late at the NDC due to a breakdown. This has caused a delay to a small amount of mail posted in the DD, EH, FK, KY, PH and TD postcode areas for delivery in parts of Wales, the Midlands and the South West of England.
High volumes of mail at the Royal Mail's North West Distribution Centre on Saturday may mean a delay to a small amount of mail posted in parts of Scotland for delivery in the North West of England today.
